Evaluation of soil infiltration rate by using compact pressure infiltrometer
PIVOŇKA, Jiří
This thesis is focused on the evaluation of the infiltration capacity of soil in Lužický stream catchment in the cadastral unit Babice u Netolic. For the field measurement was used compact pressure infiltrometer. In the selected area were performed 26 infiltration experiments in 5 locations. In this thesis was compared infiltration rate at locations with different BPEJ (estimated pedologic-ecological unit), respectively HSP (hydrologic soil groups). Furthermore was also evaluated infiltration capacity on soils with different land use. To evaluate infiltration were used empirical infiltration equations according to Philip. Then the measured values were processed in tabular and graphical way. The highest infiltration rate was measured on arable land (L5). The classification of soil was examined according to HSP. Furthermore were also described in detail the principles of infiltration measurement using compact pressure infiltrometer.
Methods of water infiltration rate measurements into the soil
PIVOŇKA, Jiří
This thesis deals with field measurements of steady infiltration rate in the Kopaninský stream catchment. Single-ring infiltrometer and compact pressure infiltrometer were used for measurement. 30 infiltration tests were made in the catchment in July and August 2012. Infiltration rate was measured on grassland and arable land. Both methods showed, that steady infiltration rate is approximately the same on grassland and arable land. Further the most common methods of infiltration measurements and comparison of Czech and foreign research are described in this thesis.
